Teaching Assistant
San Jose Chinese School provides volunteer opportunities as student teaching assistants. All qualified and successful students can get community service hours based on participation time.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Two hours of classroom teaching assistance every Saturday, a total of 32 weeks in a school year, including:
Assist teachers in teaching activities
Counsel students to study
Assess homework and test scores
Maintain order in the classroom

Loving, responsible, proactive, and good at communication
Students in grade 9 or above
Fluent in listening, speaking, reading, and writing Chinese
Community Service Hour Verification
Community Service Hour Verification
Student teaching assistants can download and print the community service hour sheet from the school website, and ask the teacher to sign after each class. Except for the signature of the teacher of the class, the hour meter must be periodically submitted to the principal of San Jose Chinese School for signature verification against the hour. The hour meter is only valid for the school year and will not be recognized if it is overdue.
